About the Circular Platform
We are a group of professors and researchers from Maastricht University commited to advancing circularity across products, materials, businesses, and sustainability at large.
Education and knowledge-sharing are central to our work; therefore we regularly develop courses, materials, and resources aimed at professionals, students, and policymakers navigating the transition toward a circular economy. However, for a long time these resources lived in separate places, mostly tied to individual projects.
With this site, we aim to create a joint umbrella that brings all teaching and materials into one coherent, freely accessible collection. Our goal is to make these resources easier to find, easier to use, and longer-lasting, so they can serve many stakeholders, across many contexts, for years to come.
Hopefully we can create continuity, visibility, and a living resource that grows alongside the field itself.
Our Team
The Circular Platform is led by a core team of researchers based at Maastricht University, working at the intersection of engineering, circular economy, sustainability, and education.
The lead initiator and responsible for this page is Dr. Cris Garcia-Saravia, you can learn more about her here and here.
Strong support and input is provided by
Prof. Dr. Yvonne van der Meer, head of the Sustainability of Chemicals and Materials group, and
Prof. Dr. Kim Ragaert, head of the Circular Chemical Engineering - Plastics Group
With support of Maastricht University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering.
